Computer Security Clearance
How to get computer access and email for new NRCS Employees and Non-NRCS
Employees:
In order to get access to a NRCS computer and email, the employee first must
take the “Privacy Awareness Training” and the “Computer Security
Awareness Training”. Both tests are available at the links below. The paper
test is used only for new employees requesting computer access for the first
time. The following year, the employee will be requested to take both tests in
AgLearn.
The employee is also required to send in a security package. A list is
provided below and the forms can be found under “Forms for Security Clearance”.
The Area office can provide the finger print cards.
The Supervisor will need to fill out and sign the Request for User Access to
ITS Resources.
Send the completed documents for a security clearance and security training
paperwork to Human Resources at the State Office.
Instructions for the security training:
• Print both training courses.
• Read and take the pretest
• Take the final Test
• Certify the training by filling out and signing the form at the end of the
training guide.

• OF-612 application for employment or Resume
• OF-306 Declaration of employment
• Fingerprint cards – Request two cards from the Area Office
