The Middle South Platte-Sterling Watershed is located in northeastern
Colorado in
portions of Adams, Arapahoe, Elbert, Logan, Morgan, Sedgwick, Washington,
and
Weld Counties. A
small portion of the watershed crosses into the state of
Nebraska.
There are an estimated 1,544 farms in the watershed, covering 1,704,371
acres.
