About the Montezuma Watershed

A large portion of the Montezuma Watershed is located in the state of Utah; however a portion of the watershed crosses the Southwestern Colorado state boundary into portions of Dolores, Montezuma, and San Miquel counties.  In Colorado, the watershed is in an area which produces a variety of crops including dry beans, oats, corn, wheat, and hay. The area also hosts animal feeding operations including cattle, hogs, and poultry farms.
