A large portion of the Montezuma Watershed is located in the state of
Utah; however a
portion of the watershed crosses the Southwestern Colorado state boundary into
portions of Dolores, Montezuma, and San Miquel counties. In Colorado, the watershed is in an area which produces a variety of crops including dry beans,
oats, corn, wheat, and hay. The area also hosts animal feeding operations
including cattle, hogs, and poultry farms. Additional data concerning this
watershed can be found on the Environmental Protection Agency's Surf
Your Watershed website.
