Colorado Invasive Plant Program
Apishapa River Project Area
The project area includes Otero, Pueblo and Las Animas counties along the Apishapa River. The
primary species of concern to be addressed is Tamarisk along with Russian-Olive.
Landowners, or groups of landowners, with property in this project area can apply
for up to 50 percent cost-share assistance to suppress and control the spread of these
targeted noxious weeds. For additional information and detailed boundary

assist you through the application process.
