Colorado Invasive Plant Program

Republican River Watershed Riparian Restoration Project Area

The project area is located along the North and South forks of the Republican River in Yuma County.  The primary species of concern to be addressed are Salt Cedar and Russian-Olive.  Landowners, or groups of landowners, with property in this project area can apply for up to 50 percent cost-share assistance to suppress and control the spread of these targeted noxious weeds.  For additional information and detailed boundary data about this project area, e-mail NRCS District Conservationist Gary Campfield or call him at the Wray NRCS Field Office at 970.332.3107 or e-mail NRCS District Conservationist Kindra Brandner or call her at the Yuma NRCS Field Office at 970.848.5605.

  • Review the Eligible Practice and Payment Rates for the Invasive Plant Species Program.
  • Review the Ranking Criteria and Screen Tools (below).
  • Complete and print the USDA Conservation Program Application Form CCC1200 (below)
  • Visit or call the USDA Service Center in your area to contact an NRCS staff person to assist you through the application process.
