Colorado Invasive Plant Program

Ute Mountain Ute Project Area

The project area is located in Montezuma and La Plata counties.  The primary species of concern to be addressed are Tamarisk and Russian Olive.  Landowners, or groups of landowners, with property in this project area can apply for up to 50 percent cost-share assistance to suppress and control the spread of these targeted noxious weeds.  For additional information and detailed boundary data about this project area, e-mail NRCS Resource Conservationist Stephen Myers or call him at the NRCS Towaoc Tribal Office at 970.564.9499.

How to apply

  • Review the Eligible Practice and Payment Rates for the Invasive Plant Species Program.
  • Review the Ranking Criteria and Screen Tools (below).
  • Complete and print the USDA Conservation Program Application Form CCC1200 (below)
  • Visit or call the USDA Service Center in your area to contact an NRCS staff person to assist you through the application process.
