COUNTIES AFFECTED: and DEGREE AFFECTED: Mesa County was severely affected.

DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS:  3,951 acres have burned.  Brush, pinyon pine, grass, and juniper is burning on Bureau of Land Management and private lands 20 miles NW of Grand Junction, Colorado. The Long Canyon fire is contained at this time.

EWP ACTIONS TO DATE: Literature search on burn area.

HUMAN INTEREST EXAMPLES: No structures destroyed to date.

URGENT PROBLEMS AND/OR NEEDS: (additional comments): None reported - Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and private entities have not requested assistance.
