COUNTIES AFFECTED and DEGREE AFFECTED: Garfield County is severely affected, and Eagle County is severely affected.

DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS: 2,400 acres have burned involving sage, oak brush, pinyon pine, and juniper. 100 residences are threatened, 4 homes, and 1 outbuilding have been burned. The fire is 2 miles north of El Jebel, CO.

EWP ACTIONS TO DATE: Contact with the NRCS Field Service Center

HUMAN INTEREST EXAMPLES: There was mandatory evacuation of the Spring Park Reservoir, and four nearby subdivisions.

URGENT PROBLEMS AND/OR NEEDS: (additional comments): At the present time, this fire is on private land and is moving towards Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and USDA Forest Service Land.
